1.
Soon enough you won't be young. Today you are anybody's friend just because you're not quite dead. They insist you get fucked up. Exes demand lunch. Your mom calls with a hunch you're all tied up. Everyone cut you slack when you smashed that glass, got naked, ruined the cake and ran off in a fit of rage. Today could be any day. Tomorrow you'll act your age.
2.
We may never know the cold of the weighless void but we've felt the gravity of the ceaseless world. Once, you were a shooting star. Ever pious, Mother wished to break your fall. The sky won't be our limit. We'd only die for what we believe in.
3.
She's gone but why? Did she, as the stories go by her own hand? Was she taken? A crime of passion, or was it planned? A plot hides behind suspect eyes. None of their calculated answers add up. There is evidence in lies. I've no one to turn to, no one to trust. She said she'd be alone that night but no one knows she had a shadow, a familiar silhouette in her window. So close, I knew she was in danger. Was she trying to warn me? Was she leading me on? Was she afraid to tell me? She must've known I wouldn't give up. Backed into a corner, there must be some reason she didn't ask for help. They say I've lost touch but I've found the truth by myself. I knew the face of the last person she saw. Hiding in plain sight, under her breath, how could I have neglected it? How could she have told me the blood was on my hands? I am the one she was running from.
